Clinical trial highlights complete remission in a patient with R/R germ cell tumor, suggesting iNKT cells could transform cancer immunotherapy.
Invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells represent a promising new frontier in cell therapy, uniquely positioned at the crossroads of innate and adaptive immunity. With their potent, broad-spectrum anti-tumor activity and low risk of graft-versus-host disease, iNKT cells are especially well-suited for use in allogeneic cancer immunotherapy. In this presentation, we delve into the distinct biology that underpins their therapeutic potential and highlight our clinical data supporting their efficacy and safety. Notably, we report a remarkable case of complete remission in a patient with heavily pre-treated metastatic germ cell cancer, achieved with agenT-797, an ex vivo expanded, allogeneic iNKT cell therapy.
