<ns3:p>Legislative protection of people with special needs is a prerequisite to social justice and equal opportunities. This need led the Algerian legislator to enact Act No. 25/01 on the Protection and Promotion of Persons with Special Needs, which offers measures and mechanisms for their integration into all aspects of life, including education, work, and health. These measures encompass early medical intervention, vocational rehabilitation, and economic independence programs, with the state also being required to furnish access to public facilities and assistive technologies within an enforcement system that will moni-tor and impose these rights. The purpose of the article is to analyze Algerian legislation on the protection of the rights of persons with special needs, with particular focus on its foun-dational principles, implementation barriers, and proposed improvements aimed at enhan-cing the effective integration of this social group across various areas of life.</ns3:p>
