Spectrophotometry analyzes copper-nickel solutions for ions, highlighting its role in quality control.
This paper investigates the application of spectrophotometry for the quantitative and qualitative analysis of a copper-nickel sulfate mixture. The spectra in the visible light range (380-780 nm) were evaluated at different concentrations (0.25 M, 0.5 M, 0.25 M, and 1 M). It was found that the transmittance increased with decreasing concentration, and nickel sulfate demonstrated significant light absorption in the range of 380-480 nm. The optimal wavelength for quantitative analysis was determined to be 420 nm, which allowed us to compile a table for determining the percentage content of the mixture components. The results highlight the effectiveness of spectrophotometry for the analysis of complex chemical mixtures and its application in quality control and monitoring.
