Case report details malignant nodular hidradenoma causing inguinal swelling, suggesting aggressive behavior.
Malignant nodular hidradenoma (MNH) is an extremely rare aggressive tumor originating from eccrine sweat glands with an incidence of <0.001%. So far in the literature, very few cases have been reported. Most common sites include the head and neck region, and rarely on the groin and extremities. Because of its local recurrence and metastasis, early diagnosis and radical treatment are mandatory. However, differentiating it from its benign counterparts and other skin tumor mimics is challenging due to its histopathological similarity and lack of diagnostic immunomarkers. Hence, we present a case of MNH presenting as inguinal swelling.
