The thesis is devoted to the study of psychological mechanisms that influence the perception of manipulative content in the modern media space. The author analyzes the main cognitive biases that determine a person’s vulnerability to disinformation, including the phenomenon of confirmation bias, the effect of repetition, and the role of emotional influence. Particular attention is paid to the importance of source credibility in the process of forming trust in information. Knowledge of these mechanisms is key to the development of critical thinking and countering manipulation in the media.
