Exploration of nail design integrates Calder's artistic principles, suggesting enhanced originality and creativity.
This study aimed to explore the application of Alexander Calder's formative characteristics to nail design, moving beyond traditional pictorial nail art to propose more creative and innovative concepts. To achieve this, five nail art designs were reinterpreted from the perspective of Calder's artistic principles. The results introduced new production techniques, emphasizing artistic value and expanding the creative potential of nail art. By integrating sculptural elements and design principles rarely used in conventional nail art, this study enhanced originality and established a new aesthetic framework. Furthermore, it validates the connection between Calder's artistic approach and the researcher's designs, providing a theoretical foundation for future creative developments in nail art.
