Analysis reveals genetic diversity and correlations of qualitative and quantitative traits in broomcorn millet, suggesting improved germplasm utilization.
Studying genetic diversity and comprehensive performance is fundamental for the effective utilisation of broomcorn millet ( Panicum miliaceum L.) germplasm resources and breeding of new varieties. In this study, 3 qualitative and 7 quantitative traits of 933 broomcorn millet core collections were analysed to provide the basis for improving utilisation of broomcorn millet germplasm resources.
