The changing conditions at the social, political and economic levels have a direct impact on the family and, consequently, on children"s behavior in the school environment. Based on this, it is questionable whether students" self-esteem and self-perception affect student performance. From the results of the study, there is a positive correlation between emotional intelligence, school of study and scientific choice of students and then it is pointed out that the demographic characteristics associated with exam stress are the sex, the school , the scientific field of choice, the learning difficulties, the father"s profession and the mother"s profession.
