The purpose of this study is to investigate the degree of fear about the mathematics of secondary school students and the study of its factors. More specifically, an attempt is made to investigate and correlate students "sense of mathematics phobia, as defined by Tobias and Weissbrod (1980), regarding students" personal characteristics, social environment, and the nature of mathematics.A questionnaire consisting of three sections was used as a research tool. The first was related to the demographics of the respondents, while two were related to the evaluation of the factors of mathematical phobia. According to research results, girls versus boys, as well as older students show more stress about math. Students in urban schools show similar rates of mathematical phobia to those in regional schools, while the view is confirmed that the higher the educational level of the parents, the lower the negative attitude of children towards mathematics.
