Qualitative research highlights how cooperative games foster inclusion in physical education settings.
Cooperative Games are games of cooperation, acceptance and joy and can unite students in a spirit of mutual support to allow them to achieve their common goals. They have no elements of competition and promote inclusive education. Research has been conducted in he Prefecture of Corinth with the participation of 8 gymnasts. It was qualitative and the relevant data was collected through Interviews, Reflective Journal Writing and Observation. The purpose of this research was to investigate whether Physical Education teachers are able to include the specific games in the daily programs of the existing Physical Education Curriculum and whether a climate of inclusion and zero exclusion is created among the participants. The results showed that students interacted, had fun and found the games interesting while there were no elements of competition or disagreements and more broadly, inclusion was promoted.
