Analysis reveals factors predicting performance in eTwinning European Quality Label Awards across 44 countries, indicating robust educational trends.
The present study makes an attempt to provide some insight into the performance of the forty-four countries participating in the eTwinning European Quality Label Awards. These awards set an area of competition for educators in those countries. The analysis attempts to determine the factors that set the countries apart in terms of performance. Making use of quantitative methods (descriptive and inferential statistics), the results suggest that the ranking of each country in the EQL awards is not random at all. On the contrary, it can be explained by the specific characteristics of the country, which operate as reliable performance predictors. Those characteristics include the geographical location, the national income, or the quality of the provided education. The insight gained by the analysis, might as well serve as a tool for further use, in order to interpret more similar educational programs
