Analysis of elderly care services in Guangdong reveals gaps in supply capacity, suggesting policy improvements.
Against the backdrop of accelerating population ageing, Guangdong Province faces the contradiction between rapidly growing demand for elderly care ser-vices and insufficient supply capacity. This paper systematically analyses the implementation outcomes and shortcomings of the elderly care security system, medical security system, and elderly care service system, starting from the spa-tial distribution and structural characteristics of ageing. It explores an optimised pathway for elderly care policies tailored to Guangdong's provincial context, providing decision-making references for promoting high-quality development in elderly care services.
