Experimental studies evaluate parameter estimation accuracy in images using bilinear transformation, suggesting implications for image stabilization.
The paper is devoted to the study of the bilinear transformation, as well as the evaluation of its parameters in the image. The paper presents a mathematical model of the transformation and the results of experimental studies. Experimental studies have been conducted for two variants of the selection of singular points in order to identify the dependence of the accuracy of parameter estimation on the location of the points. The paper presents correlation matrices for both point selection options, and calculates the variance values for each point in the image. Experimental studies have confirmed the conclusions reached earlier based on the mathematical model of the algorithm for estimating transformation parameters. The results obtained can be applied in the development of algorithms for selecting and detecting objects in order to compensate for geometric distortions, in the process of image stabilization, etc.
