This research demonstrates magnetic properties and photoluminescence of tetranuclear lanthanide complexes, suggesting potential applications.
A series of tetranuclear {Ln III } 4 complexes are reported based on di-2-pyridyl ketone ligand. Magnetic as well as theoretical studies have been done. Solid-state photoluminescence studies of 3 reveal intense emission peaks of a Tb 3+ center.
