This research demonstrates effective flocculation and COD degradation in emulsified wastewater, suggesting practical applications in waste treatment.
In this paper, Non-thermal plasma is generated by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) has been applied to treat emulsified waste liquid. The purpose of this study is to explore purification law of emulsion waste liquid by Non-thermal plasma. The distance between the fixed needle plate electrode and the sample solution was 5 mm. The method of flocculation before electrolysis was adopted. PAC was selected as the flocculant, and the dosage was 150 mg/L. First, the optimal solution for the maximum COD degradation rate obtained by orthogonal test is: pH of stock solution is 9, discharge time is 50 min, and peak voltage is 35 kv. Under these conditions, the optimal COD degradation rate was 89.10%. The content of anhydrous magnesium sulfate was 0.8g /L after flocculation, and the COD degradation rate of emulsified oil-bearing wastewater was 94.29%. For turbidity removal rate, the optimal scheme of orthogonal test is as follows: pH of the stock solution is 8, discharge voltage is 35 kV, discharge time is 50 min. Under these conditions, the best turbidity removal rate is 99.99%. This study provides some reference for the purification of emulsified waste liquid.
