This research demonstrates enhanced iodine adsorption in porous polymers with more functional groups, indicating a promising avenue for CO2 capture.
Porous polymers have been studied extensively for the capture of iodine and CO 2 . In this study, a series of hybrid silsesquioxane phosphazene materials (PCS-1, 2, 3, 4) with different functional groups were synthesized using polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) as a precursor. The research findings indicate that an increased number of methoxy functional groups in the material enhances its iodine adsorption performance. This study integrates material stability theory with experimental verification of adsorption capacity analysis to elucidate the failure mechanisms of the materials. Cyclic experiments confirmed that the synthesized material exhibits good stability.
