This research derives traveling wave solutions for the Sharma–Tasso–Olver–Burgers equation, indicating the sub-equation method is effective for nonlinear partial differential equations.
Dynamic systems in physics, engineering and various scientific disciplines are effectively modeled using nonlinear partial differential equations (NPDEs). Within this scope, traveling wave solutions for the Sharma–Tasso–Olver–Burgers (STO-B) equation were derived using the sub-equation method. It is anticipated that the solutions obtained will shed light on physical events in applied sciences. The obtained solutions were visualized through two-dimensional (2D), three-dimensional (3D) and contour plots and compared with existing solutions in the literature. A computer-aided computation program was utilized for performing complex algebraic operations and graphical analyses. The findings reveal that sub-equation method is a valid and effective analytical solution technique for NPDEs. This study not only contributes to the analytical solutions of the STO-B equation, also serves as a valuable resource for evaluating the effectiveness of methods used in mathematical modeling processes. Moreover, the results of this research are expected to increase the scientific diversity of the solutions produced, as well as to bring a different perspective to the solutions of nonlinear wave systems.
