Systematic review highlights technological advancements in racket design and their impact on player performance.
Badminton is a sport that requires a combination of technical skill and physical strength. Technological developments in badminton racket design have become a critical factor affecting player performance in recent decades. This study aims to conduct a systematic review of technological advancements in badminton and analyze their implications for racket design and player performance. By understanding the evolution of racket design and the use of the latest materials, this study aims to identify the impact of technology on game strategy and player effectiveness on the badminton court. This research used a systematic review method by identifying and analyzing related studies published in scientific journals, conferences, and other literature sources. Strict inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to ensure the quality and relevance of the information obtained. Data from studies that met the requirements were then thoroughly analyzed to understand technological advancements in badminton comprehensively. The analysis revealed significant evolution in racket design, including shape, size, and technological innovations in the grip and shaft. In addition, racket material technology also plays a vital role in the emergence of various materials with their respective advantages and disadvantages. The implications for player performance include significant effects on playing techniques, such as attack and defense, as well as on ball speed and precision in heading and striking. Technological advancements in badminton racket design have a substantial impact on player performance. Awareness of the evolution of racket design and a deep understanding of material technology are crucial to optimizing playing strategies. These findings provide a foundation for developing regulation and ethics in badminton while giving direction for future research in understanding the dynamics of the interaction between technology and player performance in this sport.
