Historical analysis of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology reveals significant ideological influence on research training.
After the end of World War II, the Soviet regime started an ample process of creating and organizing research centers and training specialists. The science of physiology in the Bessarabian space experienced a dificult journey due to historical and ideological circumstances. However, ideological control was very prominent in both the organizational and teaching processes, which directly influenced the quality of studies and the development of physiology as a science.
