Observational analysis identifies ionic liquids influence viscous and thermal properties in polymers, indicating potential applications in surfactants.
Data on the viscous, thermal properties of ionic liquids are presented, as well as their infrared spectra are given. The catalytic activity of ionic liquids during the curing of an epoxy-containing fastening compound has been determined. It is shown that the catalytic activity of ionic liquids depends on the chemical structure of the anion. The dependence of the specific volume resistance of ionic liquids on temperature was determined. It was established that ionic liquids could reduce the specific volume resistance of inorganic and organic fillers and polymer material. It is shown that an ionic liquid could be used as a surfactant to reduce the viscosity of a filled rubber composition. It was found that the ionic liquid dissolved cellulose esters.
