As a comprehensive discipline spanning art, engineering, and social sciences, spatial design has always focused on the interactive relationship between "human space environment" as its core research object. This article explores the historical evolution of spatial design, analyzes its core components and design principles, and combines diverse types of practical cases to deeply explore the current challenges and future development trends faced by contemporary spatial design. Research suggests that spatial design is shifting from simply shaping material forms to systematically constructing lifestyles, cultural identity, and ecological sustainability. The integration of digitization, intelligence, and regionalization will become the core driving force for its innovative development.
