The functions, competence, and structure of such organizations, membership, and other modern legal forms of participation of states and other subjects of international law in them, and the features of cooperation with other international organizations are ana-lyzed. It is noted that regional cooperation has great potential for increasing the efficiency of legal measures taken to manage fisheries, assist in conducting scientific research, attracting investment, advanced technolo-gies, and preventing duplication of expenses for the study of marine living resources.
