English is a language used for international communication in the age of globalization. Many students are expected to communicate and engage in a variety of scenarios by using English. The proficiency level of EFL learners in Indonesia is still below expected target by the country, which leads to low employability after graduation. The purpose of this research is to explore the potential of storytelling via TikTok as a teaching method for vocabulary learning among the university EFL learners in Indonesia and to identify learners’ perceptions on the use of TikTok on learners’ cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. This study employed a mixed methods design via quantitative and qualitative using a questionnaire-based survey technique as well as semi-structured interview. The participants were 34 EFL students studying in an English language education program at Indonesian institution. Participants were from institutions (public and private) in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, and a total of 12 volunteers were interviewed. Findings revealed that students. This is an indication that the TikTok storytelling videos provide a highly positive impact on students’ vocabulary learning. besides, most of the students who participated in this study felt the digital media is an easy and interesting technological media for language learning in conclusion, TikTok Storytelling is one of the best ways for them to improve their academic understanding.
