Case profile reveals diagnosis of primary aldosteronism in a young woman with hypertension, indicating treatment success with adrenalectomy.

A step-wise, evidence-based approach led to the diagnosis. Unilateral adrenalectomy was followed by a substantial reduction in antihypertensive medication and correction of hypokalemia.
