Report highlights a rare instance of infective keratitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus in lichen planus, emphasizing clinical implications.
We report a rare case of simultaneous bilateral infective keratitis in a 16-year-old girl with chronic dermatitis of both feet. Gram’s staining and culture of the corneal ulcer and skin ulcer revealed Staphylococcus aureus. Bilateral infective keratitis has been commonly reported in contact lens wearers, immunocompromised, post-refractive surgery, and malnourished patients. This case is unique due to the combination of Lichen planus and bacterial keratitis, making it an important reference for clinicians managing similar conditions.
