Observational analysis shows digital inclusive finance enhances common prosperity in China, indicating its interplay with green economy and rural revitalization.
Digital inclusive finance serves as a vital tool for balancing resource allocation and promoting financial inclusion, significantly advancing China’s goal of common prosperity. This paper constructs a comprehensive index of common prosperity using interprovincial panel data from 2015 to 2024, focusing on three dimensions: affluence, development, and sharing. It incorporates Peking University’s Digital Inclusive Finance Index as a related variable and examines the impact of factors such as the green economy and rural revitalization. The findings demonstrate that digital inclusive finance positively influences common prosperity, with this conclusion being robust. Additionally, the green economy and rural revitalization act as mechanisms for leveraging digital inclusive finance, playing a constructive mediating role in its effects on common prosperity. In light of practical needs, this paper presents reflections and recommendations on how to synergistically promote common prosperity through the integration of digital inclusive finance, the green economy, and rural revitalization.
