Research describes two new snail species, Sinoennea fengshiyangi and Arinia zangke, highlighting biodiversity in southern China.
This study describes two new species of micro land snails from southern China. Sinoennea fengshiyangi sp. nov. is from the river valley in Yuanjiang County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province. This species has an extremely long shell, which may be the largest known species of the Sinoennea genus in China. On the other hand, Arinia zangke sp. nov. is from the mountain forest in Guiding County, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. Its shell surface features thin and sharp single-humped ribs.
