I have been listening for years to statements from NYS state government officials touting that fact that 400 million of the 500 million received from the settlement of the lawsuits against opioid manufacturers and distributors has been “made available” to the stakeholders trying to save lives. When, I and others, have asked how much of the money that has been “made available” has been received and spent by the addiction care system, we have received no response!
