Design of a vibration isolation system using quasi-zero-stiffness, demonstrating stability in three axes.
The aim of this study is to design an integrated vibration isolation system based on buckling beams, with adjustable quasi-zero-stiffness (QZS) along three axes (torsional stiffness about the horizontal and axes and translational stiffness in the vertical axis). The design concept of the isolation system is first proposed, and the three degrees of freedom(3-DoF) coupled third-order nonlinear governing equations of the overall isolation system are established by the Galerkin method. The feasibility of the system is further verified by finite element analysis and experiments on a prototype system.
