Advanced modeling explores capsule locomotion in heterogeneous intestinal fluids, suggesting design enhancements.
This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of vibro-impact capsule locomotion through simulated intestinal fluid media with varying physicochemical properties. Employing an advanced bidirectional fluid-structure interaction modelling approach, we systematically examine capsule dynamics across a spectrum of fluid conditions. The study integrates computational fluid dynamics with structural mechanics to quantify the complex interplay between hydrodynamic resistance and capsule propulsion characteristics. Our findings establish predictive correlations between fluid parameters and dynamic performance, offering substantive improvements for capsule robot’s design and optimization.
