Novel method generates distinct optomechanical frequency combs in NEMS, facilitating synchronized interactions.
In this work, we present a novel method for generating and tuning OMFCs by modulating an optical mode with nano-electromechanical systems (NEMS) resonator driven into primary resonance. Operating within the nonlinear regime, we achieve two distinct combs with different free spectral ranges (FSR) using the same NEMS. The optical signal is modulated in both cases with an FSR equal to the mechanical (NEMS) frequency facilitating synchronized phonon-photon interactions.
