Artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed the landscape of digital pedagogy by accelerating access to information and supporting innovation in higher education. However, unethical use of AI—such as plagiarism and overdependence—can undermine academic integrity. This study discusses the concept of Ta’dib as an ethical foundation for the use of AI in digital learning. Using a qualitative approach through document analysis and literature review, the findings indicate that Ta’dib plays a crucial role in guiding students and educators to use AI with responsibility and proper conduct. AI offers significant benefits in providing learning materials and expanding access to education, yet challenges such as misuse and a decline in critical thinking also arise. Emphasizing the values of Ta’dib can ensure AI is used ethically. The study suggests that educational institutions formulate AI usage policies that balance technological innovation with academic values and intellectual integrity.
