This observational analysis demonstrates the seismic vulnerability of high-voltage substation equipment, indicating the reliability of the linkage structure during major earthquakes.
Background: The high-voltage substation station is an important node in the flexible Direct Current transmission system. In order to analyze the seismic vulnerability of the interconnected whole of the important equipment of the high-voltage substation station system, according to the comparison of the location and functional importance of each equipment in the substation station, the substation transformer, the flexible Direct Current substation valve and the valve hall are selected as the object of the present study through the interconnected whole of the wall- through casing, the suspended insulators and the pipe trusses, and the critical equipment of the substation station is classified and the linkage is established as the three-dimensional simulation model. Methods: Based on the Fourier transform theory, Wenchuan, EI-Centro and artificial three kinds of time-domain seismic waves are converted from time domain to frequency domain waveforms, i.e., the actual response spectra, and then the canonical response spectra under the action of a magnitude 9 earthquake are calculated, and finally, the response spectra method is used to perform seismic calculations on the linkage model, and the post-earthquake output response is used as an indicator for evaluating the seismic performance of the system. Result: The results show that through the static analysis, it is found that the vulnerable weak links of the linkage are the connected suspension insulators and the top pipe trusses; the linkage is elastic deformation under the action of magnitude 9 earthquake, which is in line with the safety standard of seismic design; compared with the calculation of the single reaction spectrum, the simulation results under the influence of the normative and the actual ones are more accurate. Conclusion: The linkage structure is more reliable and meets the safety standards for seismic design, and the simulation results are more accurate.
