Empirical study reveals influencer marketing significantly boosts brand recognition among Gen Z, indicating the importance of audience alignment.
This study explores the potential of influencer marketing as a means of increasing brand recognition among specific segments. With digital content and social platforms at the forefront, influencers are playing an increasingly crucial role in determining consumer perception of brands as well as purchasing decisions. In an emphatic way, we gathered primary data by means of surveys and examined how consumers react to campaigns executed by influencers on platforms such as Instagram (for example, YouTube) and TikTok. They assessed the impact of influencers' brand recall and recognition on factors such as influence-by-influence survivor, influence from audience, content authenticity (such as Twitter or Facebook), and platform type. We found that influencer marketing has a significant impact on brand awareness when influence from influence repositories (i.e., marketers) align with audience sentiment and resonate within the brand. Stronger brand associations are formed through greater trust and relatability among microinfluencers. The influence of digital endorsements is evident in the Gen Z and millennial generations.'". Consistency, consistency, and transparency are key factors in determining the success of campaigns as highlighted by the study. Marketing professionals can gain insight from these insights to improve their influencer partnership.
