Observational analysis reveals a peak in otodectosis cases in cats during spring and autumn, indicating the influence of climatic conditions.
The data obtained indicate a wave-like nature of the disease, associated with climatic conditions, seasonal features and preventive measures. An assessment of seasonal fluctuations shows a clear relationship between the frequency of detection of the disease and the seasons. The maximum number of cases is recorded in the springautumn period, which coincides with the active phase of reproduction of the Otodectes cynotis tick. The average age of cats suffering from otodectosis ranged from 2 months to 3 years. This group is considered the most vulnerable due to the imperfection of the immune system and weak resistance of the body to external factors.
