Development of a triple-redundancy flight control system enhances reliability in UAVs, demonstrating fault-tolerance through FlexRay protocols.
In order to augment the reliability of the flight control system, a triple-redundancy flight control semi-physical simulation system was elaborately devised by leveraging FlexRay bus communication. In accordance with the intrinsic characteristics of the FlexRay communication protocol, the data was segregated into different communication time slots. Subsequently, elaborate simulation experiments were carried out. Through thorough comparative analysis, it was ascertained that the outputs of the flight control computers were highly congruent. Moreover, in the course of the fault-tolerance experiment, even in the event that one of the flight control computers experienced a failure, the system still managed to operate as normal. This indicates that the triple-redundancy flight control system based on the FlexRay protocol can enhance the reliability of the UAV.
