Analysis of AgSnO 2 materials reveals improved welding force and reduced arc duration with La 2 O 3 content, indicating better performance.
Four AgSnO 2 electrical contact materials with different La 2 O 3 contents were prepared using atomization technology. The relevant parameters of four materials were tested using simulated electrical performance testing equipment under 250V and 25A AC conditions, and the results were analyzed. Research has found that when the amount of La 2 O 3 added is 0.75%, the contact welding force is concentrated at 0-0.03N, which is significantly lower than the welding force without La 2 O 3 added, exhibiting the best resistance to welding. In addition, the duration and energy of the arc decrease with the increase of La 2 O 3 content. After the contact test, the surface was uneven, and the surface of AgSnO 2 T3 had relatively fewer and smoother burn pits, indicating that the addition of La 2 O 3 changed the material’s transfer mode, increased the wettability between SnO 2 particles and Ag matrix, effectively improved the wettability between SnO 2 particles and Ag matrix, suppressed material transfer and splashing.
