Analysis shows dynamic simulation of tethered balloon systems, highlighting the importance of cable modeling.
To perform dynamic modeling and simulation of a tethered balloon system under steady wind conditions, gusts, and other environmental factors, this paper investigates methods for modeling the tether cable. By discretizing the tether into several cylindrical rigid bodies connected through axial forces, we describe its flexible multibody characteristics. The research results demonstrate that employing an axial force model to simulate the tether system is reasonable.
