Mathematical optimization improves gear efficiency and layout area in electric tensioning machines.
This study addresses the optimization of electric tensioning machines utilized in power line stringing construction to enhance efficiency and portability. Traditional tensioning machines' main drive systems, characterized by large volume, heavy weight, and non-compact structures, are optimized in terms of gear transmission systems and shaft spatial arrangement. A mathematical model for the parameter optimization of the transmission system is established for a new type of tensioning machine. Using MATLAB for optimization calculations, the total gear volume is reduced by 54.3%, and the shaft system's spatial arrangement is optimized, decreasing the machine's layout area by 20.9%. This design ensures load-bearing capacity while achieving lightweight and compactness, improving operational convenience and work efficiency, thus providing robust support for power line erection.
