Simulation-based evaluation reveals stress intensity factors in human enamel and dentin during cyclic loading, suggesting insights into crack behavior.
This letter presents a focused, simulation‐based investigation of the fatigue fracture behavior of human enamel and dentin, with an emphasis on stress intensity factors (SIFs) at crack tips under cyclic loading. The findings aim to contribute to a better understanding of crack propagation in biological materials using a simulator based on the Linear Elastic Fracture Mechanics (LEFM) approach.
