Qualitative analysis reveals project-based learning enhances student motivation and creativity, supporting the Merdeka Curriculum.
This research aims to determine the success of Tyler's evaluation model for project-based learning in the Merdeka Curriculum at Patriot Bekasi Middle School. This study is a qualitative study, data was collected using interviews, observation and documentation. Interviews involve school principals, teachers, students and parents, while observations are made to understand learning conditions, infrastructure, and supporting factors for successful implementation of the curriculum. School documentation is also a source of research data. The results show that this project with the Tyler evaluation model helps increase students' motivation, creativity and critical thinking patterns, as well as providing an enjoyable learning experience. With synergy between teachers, students, schools and parents, project-based learning supports the goals of the Merdeka Curriculum in forming students who are independent, creative, critical and with character. Even though schools provide infrastructure and parents play a role in supporting project implementation, challenges such as teachers' lack of understanding of new methods, limited facilities and student readiness are still obstacles. Project evaluation includes cognitive, psychomotor and affective aspects that support the values of the Pancasila Student Profile.
