This research formulates an optimization model to enhance production planning for pumps, addressing logistical constraints and energy efficiency.
Businesses constantly seek to manufacture competitive products with superior technical characteristics and lower costs, demanding significant cost reductions across all production stages. Advanced planning methods offer the potential for improved resource utilization and increased efficiency. Oil and gas machinery manufacturers often face various logistical constraints, including capacity allocation, raw material supply, and distribution network structure. This research focuses on production planning for efficient management of manufacturing processes, specifically for a company producing various types of pumps. Three optimality criteria for determining a production plan are defined, along with constraints specific to pump manufacturing in the oil and gas industry. The resulting optimization model improves the economic efficiency of the manufacturing enterprise by considering the specifics of pump production. The research findings will inform the development of an MRP II-class information system. The study highlights the importance of differentiating equipment of the same type but with varying performance and energy consumption due to wear and tear; storing equipment wear data in a database enhances the accuracy of production program optimization.
