Experimental analysis shows increased dielectric constant and conductivity with b-site doping in Pr2NiMnO6 samples, suggesting enhanced electrical properties.
The physical characteristics of Fe‐doped Pr 2 NiMnO 6 have been studied. Pr 2 NiFe x Mn 1− x O 6 (where x = 0.0, 0.1, and 0.2) samples have been prepared using a solid‐state reaction method. Structural and surface morphology analyses are conducted through X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy. The XRD results indicate that the materials have a monoclinic crystal structure with a P2 1 /n space group. Grain size increases and crystallite size decreases as a result of increasing Fe doping. The asymmetric mode is represented by the Raman peak at 513 cm − 1 , and the symmetric mode is represented by the peak at 658 cm − 1 . Variations in peak intensity of Raman peaks indicate the presence of antisite disorders induced by Fe doping in the Pr 2 NiMnO 6 compound. Dielectric studies of Pr 2 NiFe x Mn 1− x O 6 ( x = 0.0, 0.1, and 0.2), performed at various frequencies and over a temperature range from 123 to 303 K, indicate that the dielectric constant increases as the Fe doping rises. The dielectric loss observed in all three samples is linked to relaxation behavior, with Fe doping contributing to an increase in dielectric loss. Conductivity exhibits an increasing trend with increasing Fe concentration, and its variation with temperature indicates a semiconducting nature.
