This analysis compares kinship appellation differences in Shandong and Sichuan dialects, highlighting cultural impact on communication.
Appellation is an indispensable part of verbal communication, and it is often the origin of verbal communication, which plays a very important role in the suc-cess of the whole communication. From the appellation can be seen on both sides of the communication identity, status, proximity, purpose, motivation and so on. Kinship appellation refers to the appellation used to address one’s rela-tives, that is, the appellation or name indicating the kinship relationship. The so-called kinship appellation system, that is, a large number of kinship ap-pellations constitute a huge kinship appellation system. The kinship appel-la-tion system is to regard the kinship appellations as a system, and its system-atic study and depiction, which can reflect a certain social culture, and the study of the dialect kinship appellations system is also helpful for the research of dia-lect. The study of dialect kinship predicate system also contributes to the study of the dialect vocabulary. Kinship predicates are an important part of predi-cates, and the northern and southern dialects have their consistency in kinship predicates, but more obviously, due to the differences between the northern and southern cultures, their kinship predicates are also significantly different. In this paper, the kinship predicate of Shandong dialect and the kin-ship appel-lation of Sichuan dialect are studied as a whole, and the differences between the kinship predicates of the northern and southern dialects are em-phasized through the comparison of the two.
