This paper analyzes the influence of Green Transformational Leadership(GTL) on Green Innovation(GI) over a mediating variable, which is Creative Process Engagement. Building on the Social Exchange Theory, this study determines how leaders could motivate environmentally friendly practices and innovative behavior by engaging their employees in creative processes. This study adopts a quantitative survey-based approach to explore the relationship between GTL, GI, and Creative Process Engagement (CPE) among food sector employees in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. A structured questionnaire was developed with three sections: GTL (4 items), GI (6 items), and CPE (6 items), using a Likert scale to measure the perceptions and experiences of the respondents. This consisted of distributing 250 questionnaires, in response to which there were 200 valid responses at an 82.7 percent response rate, thus providing diverse distribution regarding gender, that is, 96 males and 40 female respondents. GTL has been shown to have an extremely positive effect directly on GI; however, this impact is supported by the contribution of CPE. The results point to the fact that CPE represents a key process by which GTL impacts GI, thus further emphasizing the significance of fostering creativity and involvement by means of a means to promote sustainable innovation. This paper adds to a body of emerging literature on sustainable leadership and innovation, providing immediate applied implications for organizations trying to discover how to improve environmental performance and innovation outputs.
