Observational analysis shows no negative effects of hemovit-meyan on healthy calves, suggesting its safe dosage.
Insufficient content of biogenic microelements in soil and feed leads to decreased productivity, deterioration of health and survival of young farm animals. The most promising way to solve this problem is to use chelated complex compounds of microelements. The article reflects the results of studying of the effect of the feed additive hemovit-meyan on healthy calves. The feed additive hemovit-meyan is a chelate complex compound of microelements Fe, Mn, Cu, Co, Zn, Se, I with methionine-succinic acid. During the experimental period, the calves were given the feed additive in doses of 13 and 52 mg/kg of body weight. During the experiment, the animals’ basic physiological indicators, general condition of the body, and functional state of the liver and kidneys were monitored. It was established that the feed additive hemovit-meyan, when introduced into the diet of healthy calves in the specified doses, does not have a negative effect on the animals’ bodies. An increase in the normal level of hemoglobin, erythrocytes and total protein is a consequence of the introduction of microelements (Fe, Mn, Cu, Co, Zn, Se, I) into the diet and can be considered a positive effect of hemovit-meyan. No reliable difference in the condition of animals was found when introducing different doses of the feed additive, on the basis of which a dose of 13 mg/kg of body weight is recommended.
