Experiment reveals strong thermoelectric power factor in p-type Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 alloys, suggesting potential for energy applications.
We proposed the thermoelectric (TE) properties of p-type Bi 0.5 Sb 1.5 Te 3 bulk alloy after sintering at 673 K for 5 min, and 10 min by spark plasma sintering method. In addition to measuring the electrical resistivity, Seebeck coefficient, morphology, crystal structure, and chemical composition. The TE power factor was evaluated in the steamed sample by measuring the electrical resistivity and the Seebeck coefficient under controlled temperature conditions. The innovative bulk samples after 5 min of sintering showed a good TE power factor value of 3.58 mW m –1 K –2 at 317 K. The bulk TE materials were identified as potential p-leg candidates for thermoelectric devices.
