Assessment reveals the magnetic adsorption structure meets stability needs in wall-climbing robots, indicating improved design for tower maintenance.
Aiming at the adsorption stability problem of the wall-climbing robot for wind power tower maintenance, a permanent magnetic adsorption structure using Halbach was designed. The robot model was established by using SolidWorks software, and the force analysis was carried out on it. The permanent magnetic adsorption structure was simulated using COMSOL Multiphysics software. The static distribution law of the magnetic field was studied, and the parameters of the permanent magnetic adsorption structure were optimized. The results show that the designed adsorption structure can meet the adsorption force requirements for the robot to crawl stably under overcoming its own weight and load.
