Experimental research shows significant vibration reduction in pipelines when using magnetorheological dampers, indicating improved safety.
As an important transportation equipment in the petrochemical industry, the safe and stable operation of pipeline systems is crucial. However, pipelines inevitably experience vibration issues during operation. This article is based on numerical simulation and experimental research, using magnetorheological dampers (MRD) to study pipeline vibration reduction. Research has found that when there is no damping, the vibration displacement increases linearly with amplitude, and the vibration displacement near the resonance frequency significantly increases; After adding the damper, the vibration amplitude of both the empty pipe and the liquid filled pipe significantly decreased, with vibration reduction effects of 66.7% and 68.7%, respectively.
