This analysis explores the effectiveness of temporary plugging agents in fracture complexity, highlighting pressure response characteristics.
Multi-stage temporary plugging and diverting fracturing technology is an important technique for increasing fracture complexity and promoting uniform expansion of fractures within a segment. For temporary plugging and fracturing operations in unconventional oil and gas reservoirs, there are no clear quantitative characterization methods or conclusions regarding the pressure response characteristics during construction, the spatial and temporal evolution of fracture morphology, and the flow conductivity. Based on the similarity theory of dimensional analysis, this paper explores the relationship between the concentration of temporary plugging agent and the pressure rise and temporary plugging turnaround fracturing. According to the theoretical analysis, a method for analyzing the timing, effectiveness and applicability of the temporary plugging agent has been developed through displacement-liquid volume-time, construction pressure-time and net pressure in the joint three-dimensional Mohr circle chart.
